How can new students become good SAMS Learners?
Yr 9/10 students will talk with new students about these notes:
- Be good role models
- Be their buddy and look after them
- Make them feel safe in and out of class
- Organise sports at lunch time with senior students. This needs to be planned in 2011.
- New students need to be in the right place at the right time. Senior students will show them out of bounds areas where we can play.
- Yr 9/10 buddies will regularly help out in their buddy class. Yr 9/10 students will have half a block per week where they go to their buddy class and help students with their work.
- Talking to new students about how SAMS classrooms are run.
- Introduce students to their class teachers and class mates.
